Petition to get the children of SMR off of the streets and into productive activities

South Middle River has had one of the highest crime rates in our area for many years, further investigation shows that more than half of the crimes committed in the South Middle River area are committed by juveniles.
These unsupervised children need a place to go within our community to become involved in productive activities instead of being led into lives of crime by the already existing criminal element.  They are being taught that the justice system will not hold them accountable for their misbehavior as well. We can only do so much to save these children in our community and the first place we must start is at Warfield Park and Sandra Sullivan whom was an employee at the park for many years.  We have seen a dramatic increase in juvenile crime since Sandra has been gone and now our community is experiencing riots in the streets by unsupervised children. On any given night in South Middle River you will see these children roaming our streets with no place to go and nothing to do.
We therefore ask that you expedite the arbitration proceedings that were brought against Sandra Sullivan and bring her back to Warfield Park as she had been and still is instrumental to the development of these children and eventually this will also bring down crime in our community. Spring break is coming soon and we need immediate action, or more children will fall into an already over burdened system.

Animal Care Tips

Animal Care Tips:

Get your dog microchipped and register the chip. Get your dog neutered or spayed.  If you find a dog, take it to any vet to see if he/she is micro chipped. DO NOT offer dogs for free on sites such as Craig’s List.  Many times those dogs are picked up and used as bait dogs or in dog fighting rings.

Adopt don’t shop.

If you must turn in a pet, yours or another, please bring to a NO KILL SHELTER, if at all possible.  In Broward, Broward County Animal Care is a LOW KILL SHELTER moving to a no kill shelter.
